District 2 Director Melissa Greko

Greetings from District 2!

We have all successfully navigated through the holidays and are thrilled to face a sure to be great 2015!
The Greater Muskegon Jaycees are kicking the year off right with their annual Snowfest – Saturday, Jan. 31. We are in need of many volunteers to make things go smoothly! Volunteers needed for set up, ticket selling, running tournaments, and broomball players. Snow Volleyball Tournament (starts at 9 a.m.), Snow Cornhole Tournament (starts at 10 a.m.), as well as the soup and chili cook off (starts at 11:30 a.m.) all run until about 2 or 3 p.m. with awards following.  The Muskegon Jaycees challenge the rest of the Michigan Jaycees to a traditional Broomball game during Intermission of Lumberjacks at a 7 p.m. game.
If you are interested in playing, volunteering, or attending the game, please email us at snowfest@muskegonjaycees.org.  You can also check out our website at www.muskegonjaycees.org.
Save the Date! The Grand Rapids Jaycees are hosting the Special Olympics Basketball Finals & Skills Competition on March 27 and 28 in Rockford, MI. Planning is underway and volunteers are already being accepted – sign up today at volunteer4somi@gmail.com!
Looking forward to seeing as many as possible at the February Year End Conference!
