District 4 Director Jennifer V. Kurland
Hello Michigan Jaycees!
We are never bored in District 4! What an awesome turnout for our Sloshball game and congratulations to Team SLIV for winning both the game and a sponsored membership by yours truly to each chapter!
Teams Westy and Dirty-Dotte-PC-RO put up a great fight, and great fun was had by all! Rochester and Detroit picnicked with us all and enjoyed using their new D4 swag! Don’t worry – I saved some for the rest of D4, too. Stay tuned for details on our last social of the year.
Plus, don’t forget about Amerada. It’s only four hours away from Metro Detroit! Amerada 2015 is on track to be the best. We’re headed to Canada this year in Beamsville, Ontario, www.cavespringscamp.on.ca. It’s only $140 US for the entire weekend – food, drink and lodging. See www.jciamerada.com for more information.

Join them at Hamlin Pub for a brand new fundraiser: Dueling Pianos. This is a high-energy, all-request, rock ‘n roll, interactive comedy, piano show where the audience is just as much of the performance as the entertainer. The night features the combined musical techniques of two extremely talented piano performers who will have you laughing and singing all night. Money earned will help support future chapter projects. Members and non-members are welcome to attend, but please understand that this show is 21 and up only. Tickets are $20 each for the dueling pianos show, and there will be an opportunity to bid on silent auction items at the venue. Tickets purchased on EventBrite at the link above will be available at will-call on the night of the event. If you would like to avoid fees, you may purchase your tickets by check or exact cash in person at the August GMM (Aug. 13 at 7 p.m.) or at the August social at Clubhouse BFD (Aug. 17 at 7 p.m.).
